The NCAUG Conference in Carolina Beach Next Week. Program Released!

The NCAUG Conference in Carolina Beach is just a week away, and we’re so glad you’re coming!  We have an awesome slate of cutting-edge GIS presentations and exciting events planned for you!

Here is some important information about the conference:

  • The Sunset Boat Cruise on Wednesday evening is included in your conference fee.  We will have hors d’oeuvres on the cruise and you can BYOB.  Afterwards, you can go out on the town and have supper.  No glass bottles on the boat.  A group will meet in the Marriott lobby at 6:00 p.m. and walk over to the boat dock.
  • A hearty breakfast is included on both Thursday and Friday mornings at the Marriott lobby (not in the hotel restaurant).
  • If you’re staying at the Marriott, parking is free.  If you’re staying at the Golden Sands or just driving in, then you can try to park in the Marriott lot, but your safest choice is to park at the paid lot in front of the Marriott.  There will be ten (10) spot there that are marked for conference attendees, which will be paid for by NCAUG.  If you park in them, please let us know at the conference registration desk as soon as you come in.
  • There is a 5K morning run at 7:00 a.m. on Friday morning, with special prizes!  You can sign up at the conference, but don’t forget your running shoes at home!
  • Esri is conducting a last-minute free workshop on ArcGIS Online on Wednesday morning (Sept. 3)!  The workshop has only 8 spots remaining (out of 50), and they’re going fast!  Sign up here.
  • There are still openings for the Battle of the GeoMaps poster contest (here), but the Battle of the GeoApps is full!

See you at the beach!
