This address consolidation was made possible with funds from the National Telecommunications and Information Administration, managed by NC Broadband and executed by NC Center for Geographic Information and Analysis. We are also very thankful for the collaboration of the North Carolinian counties’ GIS and PSAP staff that provided address data.

CGIA will be developing a business case for the continuing maintenance of the AddressNC database. CGIA will seek to engage local governments working in authoritative address maintenance to establish opportunities for relevant value-adds for continued contributions to the system. CGIA will work with state agencies and other users to document utility and benefits of the AddressNC statewide dataset resource.
