Please mark your calendars now for the 2015 NC GIS “Mobile & Global” Conference, to be held in Raleigh, February 25-27!!
As in years past, on Wednesday the 25th we will have CURISA workshops, and the 26-27 will be the actual conference.
Registration Rates for the conference will be $150 for early registration, $175 for late registration, and $35 for students. Vendor Exhibit Registration will be $1,200 for the first exhibit booth and $650 for each additional booth.
Additionally, the Program Committee is now soliciting abstracts and ideas for presentations at the conference.
Please submit your topic idea or title, a short description (no more than a few sentences), and relevant contact information using the form at http://go.ncsu.edu/ncgisconf_ideas. You can suggest yourself or someone else as the presenter. The deadline for submissions is August 31 but earlier submissions are encouraged. Multiple submissions are welcome.
Topic areas include, but are not limited to:
Data: Census, Orthophotography, LiDAR, Best Practices, Sharing and Collaboration, etc.
- Applications: Transportation, Public Safety, Planning, Environment, Property Mapping, and others
- Technology: Development Platforms, Cloud Computing, Mobile Applications, Spatial Business Intelligence, and more.
- GIS in the Enterprise: Management Best Practices, Technology Trends, System Integration, Professional Development/Certification, and more.
- Legislation: Topics focused on the increasing role of GIS for public policy, as well as questions around data privacy, access, and sharing.

Another note for folks within the higher-education community: We are not soliciting academic abstracts through a separate process this time. Instead, please submit your abstracts for full consideration using the same form linked above.
