Data Driven Pages – Best Practices for Highest Functionality (GISP CEUs .075)

This workshop will demo a sophisticated use of Data Driven Pages, and demo lots of tips and tricks for customizing the DDP document extensively. Whether you are a beginner and/or just thinking about using Data Driven Documents, or an experienced user who wants a refresher, or need CEUs for your GISP, this workshop is for you. Material will be presented by Kathi Cotney of Spatial Analysis, Inc.

  • Customizing your use of Locator/Key maps
  • Creating a professional looking Map Atlas
  • Exporting/Printing

Kathi has been using ESRI software since 1998 (ArcView 3.0) and has seen many versions of the current ArcGIS, has a background in Remote Sensing and Image Interpretation (ERDAS Imagine)and also uses open-source software such as QGIS. She earned her undergraduate degree in Communications with a specialization in Broadcasting from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and her Geographic Information Systems Certificate from Sanford University. She is the co-founder (with Planning Communities) of the Triangle Area GIS (TAG) professional networking site, and Women in GIS in the Triangle (WGT). In her spare time she is writer, a ruthless rose gardener and operates the Purr-fect Soap Company from her garage where she makes hand-crafted soap.
